Moravian University PCMEA Faculty Advisor
Professor Carole Lutte
Carole Lutte is currently an Assistant Professor of Practice in Music and Supervisor of the Music Education Program at Moravian University where she teaches undergraduate courses for the Music and the Education Departments, in the areas of music education curriculum design and methods. She is the advisor to the PCMEA Chapter of future music educators at Moravian University. In June 2018, she retired after 33 years as an instrumental music teacher in the Easton Area School District where she directed the high school marching band, concert band, wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, string ensemble, jazz ensemble, chamber string ensemble and the pit orchestra for the school musical, as well as taught the Music History and Jazz Improv/Arranging courses. Under her direction the EAHS instrumental groups have performed in eleven states, the District of Columbia, Germany and Denmark. Professor Lutte serves as a guest conductor as well as adjudicator. Most recently she has conducted: 2022 Berks County Junior High Band Festival - District 10, Kutztown Area High School; 2019 Pennsylvania Music Education Association District 12 Intermediate Band Festival, Oxford Area School District; 2018 Kutztown University String Day, Kutztown, PA; 2010 Middle Grades Band Festival - Dingman Ferry Middle School, PA; 2009 Pennsylvania Music Education Association District 10 Intermediate String Festival-Parkland High School, Orefield, PA.
She has served as the PMEA District 10 President as well as the Chairperson for the Region/State Orchestra for PMEA District 10. She was inducted into the National High School Band Director Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Hall of Fame in 2016. She was recognized as an Outstanding Teacher by Lehigh University College of Education and by the Education Visionary Awards. Professor Lutte holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Music Education from West Chester University.
Ms. Lutte’s professional affiliations include the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the Pennsylvania State Educators Association (PSEA).

PCMEA State Executive Board Region V Coordinator
Michaela Madaio
Michaela Madaio is a senior music education major with a dual concentration in classical and jazz flute. Michaela is a strong woodwind doubler and has played the alto flute, bass flute, piccolo, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone, clarinet, and bass clarinet during her time at Moravian University. Michaela was one of the first students to be elected to the PCMEA State Board, and during the 2022-2023 academic year she will serve as the Region V Coordinator. Michaela has been a member of many ensembles including Moravian University BIG Band (co-student director), Marching Band, Choir, Wind Ensemble, Flute Troupe, as well as being principal flute in the Community Orchestra. On November 18, Michaela was the featured soloist with the Moravian University Community Orchestra in the playing of Concertino written by Cecil Chaminade. During her collegiate career, Michaela has studied with Professor Robin Kani classical flute, Dr. Neil Wetzel jazz flute, Dave Roth piano, and Tony Gairo jazz flute. Michaela has and continues to perform with outside organizations such as the Allentown Band (flute and piccolo), Muhlenberg Jazz Band (lead alto), and pit orchestras throughout New Jersey. Upon graduating from Moravian University in May 2023, Michaela aspires to be a middle school band director and eventually earn her Master’s and Doctorate in Music Education.

Moravian University PCMEA President
Rose Michetti
Rose Michetti is a senior Music Education major at Moravian University from Cranford, New Jersey. She currently presides as the President of the Moravian University Chapter of Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association. Rose studies classical voice with Suzanne Kompass, piano with Dave Roth, and guitar with John Arnold. She participates in the choral ensembles at Moravian, of which she is the President, the Monteverdi ensemble, and the Guitar ensemble. Last summer, Rose completed a SOAR project, or Student Opportunities for Academic Research, where she transcribed original musical manuscripts from the Moravian Archives for modern performance and usage. Outside of her educational studies, Rose enjoys sewing and arts and crafts; she currently runs an Etsy shop called Rose’s Keychain Corner where she sells handmade felt keychains. She hopes to continue her music education studies and one day work in a school district as an elementary music teacher.

Moravian University PCMEA Vice President
Ben Stefan
Ben Stefan is a junior at Moravian University studying Music Education with a concentration in voice and a minor in Theater. Ben participates in several ensembles at Moravian including Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Orchestra, Choir, and Chorale. He studies voice with Suzanne Kompass and Greg Oaten, classical piano with Dr. Barbara Thompson, and guitar with John Arnold. Ben is currently the Vice President for Moravian’s chapter of PCMEA and also the Vice President for the University Choir. In addition to his involvement in the music program on campus, Ben is active in residence life and is the Resident Advisor for Clewell Hall. He also works as a classroom assistant in a third grade classroom at William Penn Elementary School. In the Spring of 2022, Ben had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy for the semester. Outside of Moravian, Ben resides in Point Pleasant, NJ where he maintains a busy schedule teaching private lessons, musical theater workshops, and musical directing for several different organizations in the summer.

Reid Clymer
Reid Clymer is a junior Music Education major at Moravian University with a concentration in classical voice. Reid, on top of singing classically in numerous ensembles, performs in jazz settings, both instrumental and vocal, along with classical instrumental settings, being a high brass player. Alongside serving his second year as Moravian University’s PCMEA chapter’s Treasurer, Reid is the Treasurer for the Moravian University Choir and the Vice President of the Sigma Lambda chapter of Phi Mu Alpha. Throughout his musical career, Reid has studied with Suzanne Kompass and Greg Oaten for voice, David DiValentino, Larry Wright and Tony DeSantis for trumpet, and Dr. Arianna Goldina and Dave Roth for piano. Reid has also participated in all levels of Moravian’s choirs, wind ensemble, marching band, where he is the high brass section leader, orchestra, BIG band, opera ensemble, and the Mostly Monteverdi ensemble, an early music madrigal ensemble. After graduating in May of 2024, Reid hopes to work as a secondary level choir or band director while furthering his education, hoping to get a masters and doctorate in choral or band conducting, depending on the opportunities presented.

Shay Kropa
Shayna Kropa is a senior music education major at Moravian University with a vocal concentration. She currently serves as the President of Women’s Chorus, Secretary of Concert Choir, Secretary of Moravian's Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association (PCMEA) chapter, and the Technology Coordinator of the PCMEA State Board. This past summer, Shayna received her Level 1 training of her Kodàly certification from Midwestern State University, TX. She will continue this program in the Summer of 2023. Outside of school activities, Shayna teaches privately at Burzynski’s Music Studio in Wind Gap, PA. She hopes to teach elementary general music and choir after graduating and eventually get her Master’s in Music Education.

Nicole Bellesfield
Nicole Bellesfield is a Sophomore Music Education Major at Moravian University, with a concentration in classical alto saxophone. Nicole is from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Stroudsburg High School in 2021. She is involved in many musical groups, those of which include the Moravian University Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, University Choir, and the Blue Stars Choir. She also holds many positions at Moravian, including Historian of PCMEA, First Year & Sophomore Class Student Representative for the Moravian University Music Department, Moravian University Marching Band Instagram Coordinator, and 26point Ambassador.

Moravian University PCMEA Junior Class Representative
Hailey Dudinyak
Hailey Dudinyak is a third-year Music Education major at Moravian University with a concentration in classical Alto Saxophone. While at Moravian, Hailey has been involved in several ensembles including Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Big Band, Choir, and Chorale. She currently is the saxophone section leader, music librarian, and social media coordinator of the Moravian University Marching Band. Hailey studies classical saxophone with Dr. Neil Wetzel, classical piano with Dr. Barbara Thompson, guitar with John Arnold, and voice with Greg Oaten. She serves as the Junior Representative of the PCMEA Chapter on Moravian’s campus. Outside of the music life, Hailey is active in residence life and is the Resident Advisor for Main/Clewell Hall. She also teaches mathematics through the Lehigh Valley Summerbridge Program in the summertime.

Jaymie Roddy
Jaymie Roddy, Moravian’s PCMEA Sophomore Representative, is a music education major with a concentration in classical voice. At Moravian, she is part of the University Choir, Chorale, and Early Music Ensemble, the Marching Band, where she plays bass drum, and the Orchestra, where she plays viola. Outside of music, Jaymie enjoys, figure skating, and coaching skating lessons in her hometown.
